![](https://gif-free.com/uploads/posts/2017-01/1485866992_chris-rock-huh-face.gif) This should be my thing but it wasn't my thing. It was both exactly and not at all what I was expecting. Has anyone else tried this?

Are you talking, like, dill pickle soup? Because that sounds disgusting. But sticking pickled vegetables in soup should work fine, I don't see why it wouldn't.

I like pickles. I like soup. But I don't think I'd like them combined.

I got it from a bakery and it's like... cream of pickle. ![:uhoh:](//storage2.proboards.com/6692321/images/c8bbBnLz3a98Jzy_29H2.gif) I was imagining a brother or brine as the base, but it was so creamy. Cream of celery is no problem and I consider myself to be pretty far from a a picky eater but... ![](https://media3.giphy.com/media/3h0g3GGzBwu9wDPoaF/giphy.gif?cid=790b7611c4b599d73b7cd6a4a86c8d700114573a768e9653&rid=giphy.gif&ct=g) It also wasn't nearly dill enough. Back to deep fried pickles I go.

At first glance I thought this was the title to PTA's follow-up to Licorice Pizza.

I've never had pickle soup but one of my default places for lunch - a sort of supersized fancy deli - has a Pickle Bar - which you know is basically all the free pickles you can eat while you're there and people go mental for it.

Back to deep fried pickles I go. Cream of anything is a no from me, but ESPECIALLY cream of pickle. Like, pickled vegetables could probably work well in a more acidic sort of soup with a kick to it, but cream and pickles DO NOT WORK TOGETHER. This sounds like the worst idea possible.

Love a pickle, never had it souped. Now, some pickle content: ![](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LMD2WoRzz-0/XrG_q4ONQlI/AAAAAAAAAcI/DNy5aQ-pZJcXp1D2XoY3rw1_d0rl3BQNACPcBGAYYCw/s1600/bobs%2B10-20%2Bpickles.jpg) ![](https://www.tenement.org/wp-content/uploads/Crossing_Delancey_33369_Medium1.jpg)
