Zegler makes the most sense as she has the strongest film of the lot and she's actually won some notable prizes (NBR, the Comedy/Musical Globe), and she's working the circuit pretty hard.

Zegler makes sense stats-wise and movie-wise, but she doesn't make sense feelings-wise lol, not to me anyway. WSS fans keep talking about DeBose and Faist, while fifth Best Actress slots usually go to passion picks, and I'm really not seeing the passion for her.
Cruz still makes more sense to me despite the BAFTA longlist absence, because she's a global star and a previous winner.
I could see a Stewart resurgence if voters think she's been unfairly snubbed before, or even a Haim nomination if Licorice Pizza overperforms.
I'd be very surprised if it was Hudson though. With the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress frontrunners being POC, there wouldn't be much of an outrage in Actress, especially with such a basic performance as Hudson's.

ALANA HAIM is soooo gonna surprise all the fucking naysayers IF "Licorice Pizza" overperforms. She's gonna get a lot of passionate #1 votes. I still don't believe Chastain is locked. Hell, I'm not even convinced Gaga is locked! Only locks at this point, imho, are Colman and Kidman. I think this category is prime for 1 or even 2 upsets this year
