Cage is just wishful thinking with fans. He didn't even make the BAFTA long list. I don't think the 5th spot is as wide open as people here claim. While this is true there are still passion noms that didn’t have precursors that the Academy makes every year so no reason Cage couldn’t be one of them. Usually those are tied to a Best Picture nominee - i.e., LaKeith Stanfield (Judas), Marina de Tavira (Roma). Or films that have other above the line nods. |
