Between Zegler, Moreno and Faist. Likely none of them do but if one does who do you think is most likely?
Zegler would probably be in my predictions most years but we have a pretty solid top 5 established
Moreno has a fantastic narrative but a small roll and a stacked category.
Supporting actor is very static right now so I could see some surprises there.
I still think probably Zegler since the academy love’s ingenues but I don’t know who misses.

In an ideal world, it would be Faist...  My guess is Zegler? Really odd that SAG didn't go for Moreno. |

It should be Faist but I don't see that happening.In a weaker year Zegler would probably be in, but again,I don't think it's going to happen.

I think both Ziegler and Faist have decent outside shots at noms tbh. I think Ziegler is more likely but I’m kinda feeling Faist as a NGNG prediction.

Zegler, who I think is really a strong threat for that fifth slot.
Moreno missing SAG when by all accounts that should've been a lay-up, screener issue or no, makes me think she's not going to be pushed too hard and Supporting Actress is a tough nut to crack anyway.
Faist feels a lot like the Film Twitter fantasy that people try to make happen and doesn't. Supporting Actor being the weird category it is this year leaves it as a possibility, but without any real precursors to his name and the film kind of underwhelming at the box office, I don't really see it carrying him along for the ride.

It's Faist and I'm currently predicting him. I know it's a longshot but he benefits from supporting actor being a huge mess. Lots of contenders but only 3 that feel truly safe (Smit-McPhee/Kotsur/Hinds). He could come out the other end of that chaos IF the voters go hard for his movie and I still think they will. Box office be damned, the people seeing it are loving it and voters are seeing it. Cooper and Affleck are borderline but their movies don't have the level of passion I'm expecting WSS to have.
Zegler is hugely disadvantaged by the fact that best actress is a really tight 5 right now, and Zegler not only needs for that to be broken up but she needs to get in over both Haim and Cruz who seem just as likely to get in. So she needs the five to be broken up and then to win a three-way coin toss for the 5th slot. Doesn't seem likely.
I think Moreno is out. The best she could get is a coattail nod but they really, really have to like the movie. And supporting actress is really tight too. If there's an upset I'd expect it to be Dowd.

Should be Zegler, Faist, Alvarez, and Moreno but I think it will likely end up only being DeBose.
