So in the last few years (since the merger really) SAG has been off by at least 4 sometimes more (7 in 2015) occasionally less (only 2 in 2016). Say average of 4 though, who do think gets replaced, who do you think gets in?

Hudson and Blanchett are the only two that are going to miss. Bardem should theoretically be weaker than Dinklage and DiCaprio but he's the one with GG & SAG noms so maybe not. Less than Taron Egerton had in 2019 but still.
But SAG just blew supporting actor wide open. Affleck is a serious threat now, Cooper & Leto are still in the fight, Dornan is a question mark, Faist and Simmons are on the outs. Only two that are absolutely safe are Smit-McPhee and Kotsur.

Cooper is out, same for Bardem and Colman. Why doubt Cooper? Prior to this he had 2 SAG noms, and 4 Oscar noms, the acting branch in the academy seems to frankly like him even more than SAG does. Additionally PTA's films hit typically harder with Oscar than SAG (No Phoenix/Adams for the Master, and no nominations for Phantom Thread). |

However, I have the feeling this will be one of those years in which Oscars and SAG don't match all that much.
