We have our 10-movie shortlist for this category so which ones do you think will become our nominees?

At the moment I'm thinking:
1. House of Gucci - the Jared Leto transformation (which in my opinion is really well done) should absolutely bring the movie a much-deserved nomination here but there're also tons of wigs for Gaga and the looks of other characters that'll help it even more.
2. Dune - our tech juggernaut of the season should make it here as well without too much trouble despite the notable makeup being mostly restricted to Baron.
3. Cruella - I think the fun hairdos will appeal to the branch. They're memorable enough.
4. Coming 2 America - the original movie was (rightfully) nominated and I think this one can repeat. There's plenty of prosthetic work to recognize here.
5. The Eyes of Tammy Faye - although I don't really think that this branch often nominates makeup that looks this horrendous, the fact that it made it into the shortlist is already enough for me to accept the reality that it's getting in. It's certainly the most 'made-up' movie of the shortlist. But part of me foolishly hopes that they'll snub it.
I also think that The Suicide Squad has a good shot here. Honestly, the only one I can't see nominated is No Time to Die. Wouldn't be surprised about the rest.

1. Eyes of Tammy Faye -- for the transformative and accurate prosthetic effects. AMPAS loves their makeup-heavy biopics
2. Dune -- for the Baron
3. Cruella -- the hairstyling (and coloring) and heavy face/eye makeup on Stone will get this one in no problem
4. Gucci - for Leto's transformation
drawing a blank for the 5th spot from this shortlist. I'll default to Nightmare Alley for the noir femme fatale makeup/hairstyling and the supporting makeup for the Geek I guess. And for Cooper's grubby hobo look.
