I feel like CODA is in a pretty good spot for a nom. Also worth noting, West Side Story still haven't sent screeners, like to anyone. I underestimated CODA all year. Belfast CODA Don’t Look Up King Richard West Side Story would have been in, but because of the screener thing and it’s already after Christmas, I think it’s too late now. DeBose might be able to make it on her frontrunner status, and maybe Moreno because of her veterans status, but I guess I’ll go with House of Gucci for the last spot. I should probably go with The Power of the Dog, but SAG can throw curveballs like Bombshell getting in over Marriage Story despite the latter having three nominations including the Supporting Actress winner, and I could see most acting being appreciated.

You know, I'll go NGNG (if it counts as such) and replace The Power of the Doge with Don't Look Up. The former gives me too much of a Shape of Water vibe and iheartamyadams 's mentions of Manchester and The Favourite are quite sensible too. Therefore: - Belfast - West Side Story - CODA - King Richard - Don't Look Up Manchester didn't miss though (?) it got 3 nods AND ensemble just like PoTD will .......I think he meant to say something else there and just referenced that movie by mistake maybe.............. This isn't accurate : The ones that I’m sure won’t happen are Licorice Pizza and Power of the Dog. The latter is the Manchester by the Sea/The Favourite of 2021. Each got three acting noms because their buzz was pretty undeniable but missed ensemble because SAG didn’t actually like those movies. That’s definitely going to happen with Power of the Dog as well. Hidden Figures, Captain Fantastic, Fences, Manchester, MoonlightI was thinking of and meant to write Marriage Story!

Apparently West Side Story isn't going to send screeners to SAG members. They're going to make them pay to see it. So idk how that might affect its chances.

Belfast CODA Don’t Look Up King Richard Licorice Pizza
I’ve read there are SAG screener issues with WSS so for the moment I’ve taken it out of my predictions. I’ve also taken out TPOTD even though I think it will get 3 individual acting nominations - thinking Marriage Story, The Favourite, among other surprising Ensemble misses.

I think The Harder They Fall has a really good shot. I wouldn’t be shocked if it made the cut.

Goddammit, as much as it pains me I guess I'm gonna take WSS out from Ensemble too. Even though it seems like it can be the perfect nominee here (big shiny ensemble, diverse cast, fresh faces + Broadway folks + character actors + a legend) Disney screwing up the screeners issue will probably have its negative effect. SAG is always very screener-dependent for some reason. I'm not sure why Disney sent them to the other guilds and not SAG but unless the info isn't updated, it's a bad mistake on their part. There's still a bit less than two weeks for voters to see the movie but that's quite a short window. I still hope to see it in Ensemble on nominations day but, well, hope for the best, predict the worst.
So then I suppose: - CODA - Belfast - Don't Look Up - King Richard - The Power of the Dog are the ones that make the most sense.

I think Belfast and the PowerPoint dog are the safe noms.
Ive seen dune more in the stunt cathegory.
Will be Spielberg and McKay probably but I dont vote for them.
And there is always a popular nom that could be Coda or House of Gucci

Nobody mentioned it so I guess it has no shot but I would think SAG would love Mass here btw - I didn't care for it much overall as a movie but that was the definition of an ace ensemble, interacting with each other
Shame it is on the outside looking in for all awards apparently......

I still think House of Gucci is being underestimated here...

Here's my predictions:
1. Belfast: It's always been the presumed frontrunner for this award and I think it still is. 2. King Richard: With the Best Actor frontrunner and a strong contender in Best Supporting Actress, it would be a shock if it missed. 3. CODA: It's the little movie that could, these movies always do well here. 4. Don't Look Up: A star-studded Netflix ensemble always has a path to a SAG nod, even when it's not really good. 5. The Power of The Dog: There have been cases of ensembles snubbed even with three individual nominations, but I'm not predicting it to happen. The movie is doing too well with regionals to think the basics won't bite.
1st alternate: West Side Story: The screener issue is too big to be overlooked. Yes, DeBose will most likely score a nod but that can come from buzz itself. 2nd alternate: Being The Ricardos: It's a movie that could potentially score 4 nominations (Ensemble, Actress, Actor, Supporting Actor) or even just 1 (Actress). I think it has its chances.
