Apologies for no source. Apparently Indiewire posted it early, and took down the link.
I'll update when I can.

Single categories I got right: Film, Actor, Documentary, Cinematography, Breakthrough (half-right there). I wonder who Zegler knocked out.

Well shit. PTA's not winning Director now. Well him and Spike can share a drink on that one. Happy for Smith and Ellis! Obviously happy for the Macbeth/Coen love in Adapted Screenplay and Cinematography.

I thought Denzel might have had a good chance as he has never won here.

They’re obsessed with Farhadi. They’ve given A Separation, The Past, The Salesman and A Hero the Best Foreign Language Film award and they’ve just given him Best Original Screenplay for A Hero too lol.

I thought Denzel might have had a good chance as he has never won here. This and NYFF are his to best early shots to me too - I thought he might win here too.......NYFF is this week also so maybe he can nab that....... On the other hand a top 10 movie and a screenplay win should light a fire under some marketing people to you know, start working on a campaign already........

A fair amount of NYFCC voters didn't get to see the film, though, as seen on the other thread.

Nice to see joint recognition for Haim and Hoffman. The movie entirely works because both performances are pitch perfect and the way they play off each other, you can really tell each one makes the other better, too.
I was so close to calling a shot on Zegler getting a nod months ago but given my past track record I didn't do so. Obviously still far from a guarantee, but I am regretting that now.

I'm ditching work next Wednesday so I can catch it in 70MM.

I feel like Zegler would get a pretty easy nomination most years but this year isn’t most years.

If these are legit, The Power of the Dog got shut out. I don’t think it means anything unless it becomes a pattern which I doubt. Feels very odd though because they did put another Netflix film on their top 10, and they don’t have any beef with them that I’ve heard. It feels like if Red Rocket is taken out and The Power of the Dog that this will be our 10 Best Pictures. I know that The Last Duel is still a long shot, but I think it helps that House of Gucci is doing well so far at the box office and that there doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of steak eater movies.
