In Bruges.
I liked a few things about the Lobster, Farrell's performance was not one of them.

Colin was borderline annoying in Bruges. He was too OTT for me, especially next to Gleason's much more grounded and quiet performance. The Lobster all the way.

In Bruges is the best performance of his career. The Lobster is nowhere near that peak.

The Lobster is very good work. Bruges is all-time worthy for me.

In Bruges
Slightly better performance, but The Lobster is the slightly better film. The margins in both decisions are tiny.

In Bruges for sure. Better performance & film. I couldn't even finish The Lobster (didn't like that film at all and don't get the appeal )

The Lobster is a better film, but his performance is definitely better in In Bruges

In Bruges. I thought he was emotionless in The Lobster, I understand that was the point, but I didn't care for it.

They're a pair of tragicomic masterclasses. I suppose I'd go with The Lobster, but they're both amongst the best leading actor turns of their respective years.
