Happy Bday to this Queen ! That's some lovely quotes by Marty and Binoche (very much agree with her close/distant, not a fish to catch analogy, that's her magic). I think her best films or those that will always be remembered are in the first half of her career, but I love her acting more as she gained experienced with time, no wonder she's as prolific as ever.

Very solid actress, not always great, but a decent one, that sometimes (not often) is sublime.-
I guess Indochine was her lifetime role.
But I loved her in Potiche!!! Hilarious there.-
I have seen previously in other commedies like 8 femmes, but in Potiche was really funny. Specially for a woman specialized in romantic serious dramas.-
