Good on The Wire for placing top, but I find this list to be far too arrogantly Anglo-American. Just call it the best British/American shows of the 21st century and leave it there. Feels like there are about 5 token shows on this list that aren't British or American .

Makes me appreciate the list making of something like the New York Times, when they did their Greatest Actors Of The 21st Century list. There was a clear effort made to recognise how international things are. All the best shows are not just from the UK/America. If the people making this list had a wider taste selection, they could have put 20 anime shows from Japan on this list alone

(Apparently they polled critics from 43 countries, but maybe they should have found some critics who actually liked shows from their own countries, because this is an embarrassing result for an "international " poll).

Agreed..but lists like these usually skew towards English speaking tv shows. Hell, since they have really recent shows on this list, I would've loved to see Squid Game on here, but alas. But yeah, I would've loved to see more international shows on here.

Also, boy they loved them some Damon Lindelof. Three of his shows (Lost, The Leftovers, and Watchmen) in the top 30. Quite impressive for him.

First off, they shouldn't be including miniseries. How tf do you have Show Me A Hero and not Carlos, Angels in America, Olive Kitteridge, When They See Us, Very English Scandal etc......

Glad to see many of my favs - Curb, Community, Schitt's Creek, Veep and the brilliant Call My Agent make it around the Top 50. Still, the overall ranking is wonky and I'm surprised there's no The Knick. Also s/o to some less-loved personal favs- American Vandal, Nathan For You, Night Visions, Party Down.

The Venture Bros. and Over the Garden Wall are major oversights. Animes such as Attack on Titan (which is only improving with each and every season), Fullmetal Alchemist (both the original and Brotherhood), Ping Pong, Paranoia Agent, Steins;Gate, & Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex are all worthy of being in a Top 100 list.

If this list wasn't just English speaking, my baby Puella Magi Madoka Magica (probably my favorite piece of fiction in any medium), a pretty big hit in the anime realm, would deserve a spot.

But yeah, this is just an English list. And that's fine. It just makes choices boring and predictable, is all.

The Shield is waaay too low, it's a top tier TV show and should always be considered as such (it is in many lists tho.). I won't be really disappointed because this or that foreign TV show isn't listed but I thought Gomorrah was famous (and good) enough to at least appears somewhere in a top 100 list. As a French, good to see The Bureau, one of the best TV show my country has ever produced (Engrenages could have been there too). Squid Game will certainly be in the next one.

The Shield is the rarest of rarities: a series that got even better as it went along, and the last three seasons are legendary. It arguably has the greatest finale of any drama series, too.
