I think there's a very strong chance that Robert Duvall could be in the thick of it to reclaim the record he briefly held in Best Supporting Actor, with his upcoming project where he plays a decrepit Hannibal Lecter-esque type serial killer.

Cooper Hoffman would be youngest Best Actor nom (18yo) since Jackie Cooper in 1930.

Dench for Belfast would come very close to tying oldest Best Supp Actress nominee behind Gloria Stuart.

Pacino/Gucci would kick himself (Irishman) out of the Top 10 oldest Supp Actors.

I will not be rooting for that movie this year, but I hope it happens regardless. It would be cool to see younger Best Actor nominees/winners.

You have a great old timer battle - like Geritol vs. Prune Juice - next year in BSA between Hanks and De Niro who are extremely likely on paper to be the favorites (Hanks for Elvis, De Niro for Killers of the Flower Moon) - going for their 3rd - where Hanks would be the oldest male winner of his 3rd Oscar (however IF Washington wins this year - entirely possible - he would have this over Hanks since he's older)....

De Niro - if he wins would break the record for longest gap between wins and be the oldest 3 time male winner ever even if Washington wins this year.....
