Geoff Palmer & Lucy Ellis In Spite of Ourselves (2020)
I've posted this song before - but it's not often you get a John Prine cover that tops the original.........so a good one to start with by two of my favorite current artists:

Whole album with these two is good... unusual pairing, but I quite like the blending of their voices.

Therion is great in this aspect. This song for instance is among the best things ever:

Also to mention something more unconventional this song by Rotting Christ which is a musical adaptation of an act from Euripides' play Bacchae is one of the greatest songs of the previous decade. The combination of the female "vocals" (which are more akin to a a theatrical recitation) and the warlike chanting/growling is just incredible.
I also like it a lot when a song has female vocals that serve more as a background enhancment of the instumental. This song is a great example of what I mean:

After those it's all Emmylou - with Gram Parsons on Grievous Angel (Return of the Grievous Angel, In My Hour of Darkness, Love Hurts) and with Dylan on Desire (Oh Sister, One More Cup of Coffee)

Headgirl Please Don't Touch (1980)
Motorhead + Girlschool = Headgirl .........which is a reference to the awesome power of the band's music and how it could literally detach a female head from her body ...............or something.........no one reads this sh it anyway........
