- a whopping 7 nominations for the massive piece of shit I'm Thinking of Ending Things. - Trial of the Chicago 7 in Film Editing over The Hater? And only 1 fucking nomination for The Hater?! - Mark Rylance nominated for his absolute nothing of a performance? - Jude Law snubbed badly for The Nest. - multiple duds in BP... and Tenet snubbed.
Where can we find Red Post on Escher Street? I'm shocked it got all the nominations it did since I haven't come across a single place to watcj it yet. Even those freebie places... If anyone knows where we can all view it, please pass along so we can see all the nominees before voting. Thanks.
- Really glad for Onward, The Painter and the Thief and Boys State noms, among my favourite movies of the year - I don't recall the Kaufman film being so revered around these places, what's that about ? - On the other hand I thought The Hater or Lovers Rock would have far more noms - That coreography nod for Another Round is pure joy - Mark Rylance and Letitia Wright when Frank Langella or Sharlene Whyte ( in Education ) are right there - Unfortunately I never got around Red Post... maybe I'll have to navigate turbulent waters in order to watch it, wish me luck - Is the animated picture lineup the same as the Oscars ? I think shorts should be elegible in some cases ,far more worthy than Over the moon - I think this is my favourite Best Actress lineup in Amara history.
So glad - pretty sure I had a big part in that, but good to know other fans are out there. A lot of great noms in general, looking forward to the winners .
oh I helped. I liked it a lot more on rewatch. Very consistent with Kaufman's canon of movies about depressive toxic men and so off-putting that it's as masochistically delightful as it is disturbing. Just love that dinner scene. None of these characters are existing in the same space. They're talking over each other, around each other, and over and around themselves with repetitions and contradictions. It's so cringey and I love it
