Wish I made it in time to vote on these but I'm glad to see Another Round get in for Screenplay and thrilled by the Lovers Rock love.

Aubrey Plaza not making into "Performer of the Year" despite delivering two amazing performances in "Black Bear" and "Happiest Season" - which are also different than each other - is kind of disappointing.

Really glad for Essie Davis and Brian Dennehy, but Christ, Mank and I'm Thinking of Ending Things did not deserve the amount of nominations they got.

Love a lot of these nominations, but man Dear Comrades! really got skunked hard, particularly that cinematography snub.

lots of wonderful noms, quite a few surprises too. -- Essie Davis for double nods is pretty crazy but I can't argue with it (over Burstyn though? ehhh) -- Cinematography and score nods are aces -- lots of Thinking of Ending Things which is fantastic (rewatch serves it very well) -- Saint Maud getting in precisely where it needed to -- Han Ye-ri's loveliness -- double noms for Love and Monsters (amazing creature design / animation and sound) -- Extraction getting in for choreo -- Wolfwalkers for BP (!) -- And I don't care what anyone says, Oldman is wonderful in Mank and he deserves to be here. -- Song nods are fantastic on the flipside, there's way too much Tenet and too much Nomadland and Minari for my taste but I'm not dying on that hill. Happy voting!

really appreciate including how many other AMARA nods these recipients have. That's the kind of added touch I love

Very happy that Soul and Wolfwalkers made it into best picture, and all of the love for Lovers Rock (pardon the pun). Great job presenting the nominations, Sharbs .

LOVE the love for Wolfwalkers. Don't love the love for Chicago 7 and the underwhelming showing for PYW And I really need to watch The Hater and Red Post on Escher Street!

Super happy Soul got a BP and Screenplay noms. Also glad Wolfwalkers got a BP nom. Didn't expect Nolan to get a directing nom. This is the first time i didn't vote for him. Tenet didn't hold well with me in re-watches. Hope he doesn't make such a soulless film again. Greyhound Should've gotten a Vfx nom.

HAN YE-RI IN ACTRESS AND SOUL AND WOLFWALKERS IN BP On the other hand, Gary Oldman getting in over Steven Yeun or even Alan Kim is a massive, massive snub. Glad Mank didn't get nominated for Picture at least. Also I'm Thinking of Ending Things has way more fans here than I expected. I was actually contemplating of giving it more nominations, but ultimately went with other stuff. Also surprised at the complete no-show of News of the World. I thought it was fairly well-liked here Sorry for missing out on the presentation. I was having sleep troubles last night.

Unfortunately I couldn't be around for these, middle of the night and all. There's obviously a lot I don't like nom wise, there always is with these things, but lets not be negative. The Morfydd Clark and Rose Glass nominations almost make up for it the worst of it. I say almost as it missed Picture, but then so did Tenet so that takes the sting out.
Also, one day Maxine Peake will get a nomination here...you'll see. Fanny Lye should have been her second in the last few years. I'll wait though. It'll come.
