The top one is a genuinely great franchise film, despite its obvious flaws; it sets out to be pure entertainment, and that's exactly what it is. The middle one is a film that I enjoy a lot for nostalgic reasons -- it's an incredibly well-done "epic", even if its melodramatic romance story is blatantly problematic, and its length is overbearing and not worth the effort. The last is hardly the monstrosity that some make it out to be, but ... yeah, it's pretty shitty.

So it goes.
