Masterful!! A great cinematic OPERA OF HORROR like no other!! One of the scariest films I've ever seen and probably in my all-time Top 10 for Horror. The 2018 remake was pretentious garbage, though. š¤®

That's generous for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Good climax but it's not better than Halloween.

I hated The Texas Chainsaw Massacre when I saw it, so I can't agree with the consensus here. I will try and rewatch it though.

I have a special kind of hatred for this film. It's a bottomless well of disdain and contempt. I utterly despise it with ever fiber of my film fan being.

Should have been WAAAY HIGHER!! Not just high on my ballot, but on my all-time Top 50 films. There will NEVER be a better film about journalism...EVER.

Rocky is such a wonderful and uplifting film. Love that it has done so well here.

Rocky deserves to be on this list for the music score alone. A legendary classic that still works 50 years later.

I like Carrie mostly for the performances, the film itself doesn't quite work for me, but again it's a classic, and classics always make sense in a list.

Wow, we don't have many if any horrors left do we? Maybe one or two I'm forgetting... anyway, Pauline Kael's finest review, or the one I've read the most, may be for Carrie... Masterful stir of age, religion, split diopters... you know, life's essentials...

Good finish for Carrie. It can get a little campy and even cheesy on occasion, but I still love it and included it on my list.

Carrie (1976) Director: Brian De Palma 76 points from 7 ballots Highest Placement: #7 on 1 ballotMy number 19........2nd greatest horror movie behind Rosemary's Baby and for 2 years I would go around saying "First comes the blood and then the boys!" and people thought I had lost my mind .......but my Piper Laurie impression was perfected in that time

Mirror should have been ahead of Solaris but still glad to see it so high.
