Happy for Streep, Serkis and especially Brody (wonderful upset). Moore shouldn't have won (I rank at least three performances of that lineup above hers), but if she has to win for something, let it be this. Catch Me if You Can for Score... really? I've seen the film twice and I can't remember a single cue of the score. Glass should have taken this with ease, but the actual best score of the year (Frida) wasn't even nominated, and I would also place Elmer Bernstein's score for Far from Heaven ahead of 4 of these nominees. City of God is a very well-made and entertaining film, but I'm not sure it would make my top 10. The year is just too strong. Thank you for doing this, pendragon. Great work. Can't wait for 2001

Late to the party-- Great set of winners, especially City of God! The one win that baffled me though was LOTR winning Ensemble?? What's the reasoning behind that? The Hours is right there!

The Hours is right there! Lord of the Rings didn't have Ed Harris.
