Update: Trailer #2
------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Hurt Locker is one of my top films of the 2000s. Zero Dark Thirty is one of my top films of the 2010s. Needless to say, this is one of my most anticipated films of the year.
Annapurna's twitter dropped a brief teaser.

Annapurna seems to be establishing this as strong commercial adult counterprogramming with the release date and lack of festival launch
I dont see it being a huge threat to win BP, but as long as it doesnt flop or face political backlash, I'm sure it will be a solid movie and certainly contend for noms

I haven't Bigelow and Boal usually play their cards close to them and scripts or info hardly leak out

Very interested to see this. My only worry is that, like Zero Dark Thirty (a film I still thoroughly adore), it might work better as a miniseries and feel far too cursory for the format regardless of the quality of its writing, acting and direction.

Ehhh, that trailer was meh- the dialogue in particular was really bad
I think this is going to face stronger backlash than I anticipated

I thought that was a pretty good trailer myself. Still weird to see Poulter in adult roles, but I didn't think he looked bad or anything. Boyega looks very good.

Also, do we think this hits the festival circuit at all? I'm not sure when Venice is this year, but it's usually around the time this film releases.

Why does the trailer not mention her best movie, Point Break?

Poulter looks hilarious, but it looks pretty good outside of that.

Poulter looks out of place. But this really fits Bigelow's style.
Definitely looks like it may be more controversial than I thought, but it's timely and relevant. It will be in the thick of awards conversation.

Not really feeling Boyega in the role... but the movie looks good otherwise.

Why does the trailer not mention her best movie, Point Break? Not the same genre or target audience BTW the poster is here

who the fuck was in charge of hiring Poulter? He looks like a teenager in this. Otherwise looks good. I smell another nomination for Bigelow.

Not crazy about Poulter or the shaky cam, but it looks pretty damn good otherwise. Still stoked.

Good trailer, based on the people in film that I follow on twitter this has had the biggest reaction among them. Definitely the early favorite, granted we haven't anything Wonderstruck yet. but yeah
