I am really dreading whatever downfall is to come between Kim and Jimmy.

I never usually put much stock in TV awards because my faves rarely win but I’m seriously going to be pissed if Rhea Seehorn doesn’t sweep this year.

Brilliantly-constructed final scene. Kim keeps hitting new heights. Hopefully the finale doesn't disappoint, I'm really excited for it.

I'm still wondering whether Gould and Gilligan can pull of the amazing sleight of hand and actually have Kim be alive and well in the BB timeline and we just never see her because we never see Saul's personal life.

My own theory, but I think it's feasible: I think she's going to go to the cleaner (Forster) and goes into hiding before/during the events of Breaking Bad. Makes sense too because Saul already knows of him before he sends Jesse there with all the exact details of where/how it will all happen.

That's a pretty common theory but my only concern with it, is that having 4 main characters (Walt, Jesse, Saul and Kim) all use Ed is a bit of a copout.

But yeah, now that you mention 4 of the characters all use/d him... it does seem to be too much been-there-done-that.

That final look on Jimmy's face... basically saying to himself "What have I done to her?"

Not at all what I expected, but that was an excellent finale. That second half of the season rivals the first half of season 3 as the best stretch of the series -- and is certainly the best it's been since then. Practically flawless for five straight episodes. Nacho's escape was insanely intense ... it feels a bit cheap that both he and Lalo survive the season, but I wanna see more from both characters and actors, so I can't really complain. I still think my main gripe with the show boils down to ... it feels like we should've gotten to this point in the story earlier than five seasons in. Six seasons is generally ideal so I'd like to see them wrap it up with a two-parter for the next season: Part 1 for what was set-up in Jimmy/Kim's final scenes and the fallout of the Nacho/Lalo stuff, and Part 2 for Jimmy/Saul's downfall and the post- Breaking Bad stuff. No idea how that could be done without it being insanely rushed, and I'm pretty sure we're still like four years before Breaking Bad in the timeline here, but I'd rather not see them drag it out and try to end on a high note. EDIT: Just discovered that the sixth season has been confirmed to be the last. This is news to me.

Can we just talk about how Tony Dalton fucking kills it as Lalo? You got this guy who shows up like he's Matt Dillon in There's Something About Mary and he seems like the kooky next-door neighbor in an '80s sitcom . . . and then he turns out to be one of the most terrifying figures in Vince's world?

Gilligan originally did not want Lalo included in BCS but lost the debate and has admitted how happy he is that he did.

Gilligan originally did not want Lalo included in BCS but lost the debate and has admitted how happy he is that he did. That's the thing I love about Vince. He knows that this is a world where the greatness was borne out of compromise and the genius of his writing staff, and he is willing to make concessions.
