Anthony Hopkins Daniel Kaluuya Youn Yuh-jung Original Screenplay win for Promising Young Woman Adapted Screenplay win for The Father Mank in cinematography Another Round for international film (Though I would've been happy with an Aida upset here)
I really wanted Mulligan to win and think she would've been most deserving, however I also thought Kirby and McDormand were incredible and would've been by winners any other years if they were not all competing against each other, so I find McDormand's performance a worthy in its own win too. I am happy that such a soulful, internalized performance won instead of the type of showy ham Davis and Day were serving.
So yeah, this was possibly the best 4 Oscar winners ever for me even though McDormand wasn't my personal choice.

TOP 3 : ANOTHER ROUND for best foreign film , A PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN for best original screenplay & NOMADLAND for Directing
I wanted both Chadwich Boseman and Carey Mulligan to win but I'm more than OK with Anthony Hopkins and Frances Mcdormand winning instead. They were incredible.

Best moment: Hopkins winning for an all time great performance. Worst moment: McDormand winning for the undeserved third time.

Mank for Cinematography Hopkins The Father and PYW Screenplay wins
Not really unhappy about any of them outside of Mulligan losing (but at least it was to Queen Fran). Some where I’d have a difference preference but nothing to get upset about.

Kaluuya winning best supporting actor. Jung winning best supporting actress. Sound of Metal winning sound and editing.
To be honest I was pleased with most of the wins, it was the presentation that was lacking.

my two favorite movies of the whole year getting screenplay wins. Also Sound of Metal for sound and 89 year-old costume legend Ann Roth winning her first since 1996.
Also happy for Youn and Zhao because I know how much those wins mean, and Another Round because Vinterberg's speech was beautiful.
