Thought they would go with Nomadland for screenplay too in the end. Mmm, I don’t want to overthink this, but it’s making me more excited for Best Actor and Best Actress. I could definitely see Hopkins upsetting in best actor. I just hope they get it done with faster then usual.

I love you, Laura, but La Strada was not the first Foreign Language winner.

Promising Young Woman doesn't interest me at all, how'd y'all like it? (i haven't been on here in months) I haven't seen it yet either, because I was annoyed by Killing Eve season 2 on a conceptual level, which Fennell showran.

Another Round wins as expected, only thing that would have made it better is if Mads has gotten a nomination alongside the film.

Not a fan of not having clips for the acting categories.

I do wish they had kept the montage of the performances from last year, those were great.

Not a fan of not having clips for the acting categories. same. I remember they did that back in 2009 and everyone was robbed of Heath Ledger and Robert Downey Jr clips

KALUUYA!!! This scene in particular completely sold me on his performance. Extremely happy that he won.

happy for Kaluuya. The performance didn't quite work for me but I think it was mostly script-related. It's an important film and character to recognize and Kaluuya worked his ass off for it.

Can't follow the ceremony since I don't have TV for a year now and I don't know about the links to the ceremony, but the wins have been great so far, especially The Father for Adapted Screenplay. Such a well-written film and a very deserving winner.
