This is the first runaway in like a decade, I can't imagine it not being Nomadland.
If Trial or Minari wins Ensemble tomorrow I suppose that will decide who the "runner-up" of the year is, because I don't see Nomadland losing BP at BAFTA or anywhere else either, but I could also very much see Ma Rainey spoiling at SAG.

If I were to rank them in order of "most likely", I would say:
1. Nomadland - PGA winner. Nominated for director, screenplay, and editing at the Oscars. Currently it is favored to win at least director and adapted screenplay.
2. Promising Young Woman - WGA winner. Nominated for director, screenplay, and editing at the Oscars. Currently a strong contender for best actress and original screenplay.
3. The Trial of the Chicago 7 - Won the Globe for best screenplay. Currently a strong contender for original screenplay and editing.
I don't think there are other contenders here. The history of the Oscars consistently shows you need to win picture, director, or screenplay honors in order to be a contender for best picture. Picture/Screenplay are the most common relationship. If Minari wins "tonight", I think Minari would join the conversation and supplant Chicago 7 for that third place spot.

1. Nomadland - 3 wins. Globe (Drama), Critics Choice, PGA.
2. Promising Young Woman - WGA (Original)
3. The Trial of the Chicago 7 - SAG (Ensemble)
The Father was nominated for BAFTA. Mank and Minari are nominated for the DGA.
Nomadland is the heavy favorite to win the DGA and BAFTA.
