Seven Psychopaths hands down for me.
Rockwell is probably my favorite working actor and few can nail both comedy and drama as good as him. While I’d probably still rank Moon as his best performance, Seven Psychopaths is far and away my favorite and most entertaining.
HM: The Way Way Back Iron Man 2 (easily the best part of that train wreck) Snow Angels Moon Matchstick Men The Green Mile

Seven Psychopaths is his best, followed by Moon.
Used to be one of our greatest character actors, shame he's become so boring since winning an Oscar.

Maybe not my favorite, but I'd like to make special mention of his work on Fosse/Verdon. Watching him and Michelle Williams go at it for a few weeks was a sheer delight.

I love the certain energy he brings to his movies, there's something about his style that makes any part memorable and/or entertaining. He's never boring which is what makes him special. I also like that he keeps exploring new territories as an actor. Just recently he was great in "Fosse/Verdon" (his SAG win was a pleasant surprise) and very good in "Richard Jewell". Also, the man can dance!
Fave performances: 1. Lawn Dogs 2. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind 3. Moon 4. Galaxy Quest 5. The Green Mile
some underrated/overlooked performances: "Heist", "Welcome to Collinwood", "Joshua".

Three Billboards. Matchstick Men. Richard Jewell. (shocked he didn't get recognition for this and yet he did for Vice... but then again, we all know why Vice got as many nods as it did).
But he's got loads more that I truly love.

Galaxy Quest is my favorite performance of his by some distance, but I'm also fond of him in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Matchstick Men, Snow Angels, and think he's the best thing about Iron Man 2.

My favorite performance(s) by Rockwell is still hands down Moon in his duel roles . Thought he was brilliant in it & its a damn shame that it didn't make any bank at the box office (it did build a cult following though so thats good at least).
HM: His performance in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Just an outstanding actor all around (would love for him to work with Fincher, Scorsese , Nolan) and PT in the near future)

If we're talking favourite, then it's The Way Way Back. He we're talking best, I'd probably have to go with Moon.
