Dammit, I really don't know what to do with The Father. On the one hand, I still believe that it can do well with AMPAS, but on the other hand it's fared pretty poorly with the guilds. Kind of reminds me of Atonement, but that was much bigger.
I guess I ought to throw The Father out of my Editing predictions and replace it with Sound of Metal. Marder's film can go in so many ways: from Riz Ahmed + Sound to a whole slew of nominations including Picture, Director, Screenplay and Editing. So tough!
