Two part thread.
1) Thoughts on the current consecutive nominees and who do you think might continue their streak next year?
Olivia Colman - 3 in a row - The Favourite, The Crown, The Father Nicole Kidman - 3 - Destroyer, Big Little Lies, The Undoing Cate Blanchett - 2 - Where'd You Go Bernadette, Mrs America Anthony Hopkins - 2 - The Two Popes, The Father Al Pacino - 2 - The Irishman, Hunters
Upcoming work from Blanchett, Kidman, and Pacino seem most likely to be nodded at the next GGs.
2) Who has the longest streak of consecutive noms for unique perfs ? (Running series only count once)
I couldn't find any lists for this..... Is it Streep with 6 between '95-'00....

Shame that Colman didn't have anything in 2017, as she won in 2016 and that would've been five right there.

The consecutive nods is likely to increase now that you can go back and forth between film and TV like Colman/Kidman/Blanchett are doing in this new TV era..... Page & MacLaine I think had 4 in a row in the early mid-60s which is really impressive. Pulling for Pacino but tbh I don't know for sure how juicy his part is yet....... I just want him to get to 10 Oscar and 20 Globe nods because it's so much easier for my arithmetic. I've said this before but Adam Driver is potentially a medium shattering American actor in all metrics/awards across all mediums. Like a lot of big time male actors top out at like ~ 9 or 10 Globe nods for a whole career....well Driver in theory could be nodded for Globes that much just by his late mid-late 40s depending how he wants to balance his work.......and I have a hunch he'll go to TV (and balance films) much younger than people suspect.

Well there goes Question 1. Anyway, anyone have an idea who has the longest streak for males? Robin Williams has 5 - btwn 1990-'94 if we count the Aladdin "Special Award" Johnny Depp 5 - 2004-'08 Jim Carrey 4 - 1998-'01 Jack Lemmon 4 - 1987-'90 Seems like there's gottta be someone with more than 4 or 5 — ?

Pacino also has 4 straight movie roles - GF II, DDA, Bobby Deerfield, And Justice For All. That was his insane period where Scarface was just his 9th movie and his 6th nod (only missed for Panic in Needle Park, Scarecrow, Cruising)

Well, the others mentioned have their streaks in a row. Pacino's streak had breaks. He didn't do a movie in 1976 and 1978.

Right but he also had 4 straight years - no breaks - for the Golden Globes as well: in 72-75 ..........and in terms of movies in a row (with the 2 years he missed - '76 and '78 when he didn't do one) he had SIX released movies in a row

Quick bump now that the Globes are (somewhat) figuring into the year. I believe these are the possibles from last year's nominees - if anyone wants to yay or nay predict 'em...
Colman - The Lost Daughter Kidman - Nine Perfect Strangers, Being the Ricardos (release date?) Blanchett - Nightmare Alley, Don't Look Up Pacino - Gucci Leto - Gucci Fran - Macbeth Anya Taylor Joy - Last Night in Soho Jodie Comer - The Last Duel Sarah Paulson - Impeachment

Helen Mirren had a 4 year streak from 2013 to 2016. She also came close in the early 2000s but missed a year or two in between.
