Yup. I knew it. Even he thinks that this is the worst 'Fantastic Four' adaptation out of 4.

There was not a single redeeming factor in it, so it's unsurprising that it was universally panned.

Well that's not really saying much, now is it?
Not a bad episode. He makes some decent points about the action being so small and pointless, or how stupid the last act real is.
Wasn't a fan of making fun of Dr. Doom's real last name Von Doom, sure it's silly, but it was the 1960's, and obvious names like that were the norm. I think it's a fun last name personally. Also I think the adequately impressive three skit when on a bit too long.
Otherwise, I thought it was pretty amusing.

I don't think I've seen anyone who actually liked 'Fant4stic'. Almost everyone on YouTube said it was a stinker.

I didn't hate the movie at all. I thought up until they got their powers it was actually pretty good. Then it was just like "Ah, fuck it", and they just went right to the ending. That was stupid as hell, but there was plenty of good in the movie to keep it from being as bad as people made out.

That was... actually pretty decent. Nice return to his roots, kept distractions to a minimum, and entertaining.
As for the actual movie, what a colossal screw up. I have never seen a superhero film (and I have seen very few blockbusters) with such little joy or basic humanity throughout. It's as if the very concept of joy or emotion completely eludes it, like it's too complex to understand. Even The Dark fucking Knight - which a lot of movies want to imitate - had comical moments in it. Hell, Logan had more heart and laughs. And for a movie about the first superhero family, it feels as if none of these people even like each other. At least the Tim Story films had heart in that regard.
I genuinely believe it deserves a spot among the absolute worst films of the decade (hell, one of the worst blockbusters ever made), and what truly compounds the movie as so awful for me is the fact that this was made in 2015. This was backed by a major studio, with a director who had proven himself with a critical hit, it starred terrific up-and-coming talent in the main roles, was based on an iconic and beloved property, and was produced on a budget of $120+ million. For the end result to come out as this incompetent and unenjoyable is inexcusable. It's not only a bad film, it's an utter embarrassment.
In fact, the only positive thing I can think of to come from it is as an educational example. Its mistakes should be studied and analyzed to the point that the poor decisions made become unthinkable in the future.
I mean, say what you want about Marvel's corporate takeover and tight quality control, but at least they have a clear game plan and respect their source materials, and even if you don't enjoy their films, they at least serve up their silliness and thrills without snorting they're too good for it.

Someone even mentioned that making a satirical comedy based on the making of 'Fant4stic' with Coen Brothers directing would be a lot more fun to watch.

Yeah, the review just reminded me of how much I hated that movie. Say what you will about the 2005 Fantastic Four, but at least that one TRIED to be fun (personally I enjoy that movie unironically).
