It's good. People need to experiment more. There's more to pizza (and any other food worth eating) than meat, people.

Other things of course, oh cultured one May I suggest fried Thai basil for a more exotic pizza? Apple, of the more mundane variety,, if you want something pleasant without being overpowering? Perhaps chicken ovulations fried in homemade chili oil, sure to make your taste buds pop? All of these would require replacing the base sauce with a better one, to be sure, but there are many avenues that remain untouched for an item that is simply baked dough with toppings... even the cheese is ultimately optional (and my Thai basil and apple ideas likely would work best without it). Carpe diem! Create your own pizza! Invent and have your name immortalized!

It's been so long since I've made crust from scratch, but I love putting spices right into the dough and having the sauce marinating in garlic and sautéed vegetables.

Yes. It's not my go-to, but it's good. I like the sweet with the bit of spice from the sauce.

My favorite pizza topping. Fuuuuuuuuck no. When I'm eating Italian food, I don't do anything that an Italian wouldn't do. So if you're eating Italian food and someone disrespects you you don't let them leave the building without getting wacked.

Pineapple works because it's tart and compliments the other ingredients on the pizza. It's like how they have pineapple with a savory sauce in lots of Asian food. Not sure why it's so controversial with pizza.

Pineapple works because it's tart and compliments the other ingredients on the pizza. It's like how they have pineapple with a savory sauce in lots of Asian food. Not sure why it's so controversial with pizza. Yeah, the pizza would have to be designed from the ground up with the sweet topping in mind. I'm thinking a dessert type in which the apples are a mellow part. Ooooohhhh! My favorite restaurant has Gan Guo style hot pot that I absolutely adore! That could make a perfect pizza! Lots of Szechuan peppercorns, garlic, Chinese black beans, scallions, all of it infusing the oil! And they have a whole host of optional "toppings" to put in there... It's everything a pizza needs! Oooohhhh, those toppings: Bean Curd Rolls Five Spice Bean Curd Fried Bean Curd Bean Thread Gluten Rice Cake Wide Vermicelli Lotus Loot [sic] Chicken Greens Lotus Roots? Potatoes Flammulina Chinese Cabbage Broccoli Celery Mushroom Agaric Seaweed Knot (This stuff is disgusting) Asparagus Lettuce? Squid Beef Tender Pork Belly Crab Meat Stick Ham Beef Ball (Cut them up and they'll make good pizza toppings) Fish (You've got me on which kind) Beef Tripe Fish Ball Chicken Wings Pork Intestine (The consistency may make this difficult for a pizza, but the flavor is great) Beef Shrimp (the big ones, and the best shrimp I've ever tasted) Animal Aorta (I've always wondered what animal...) Octopus Take 5-6 and throw them on dough... Oh, it sounds heavenly. Not as heavenly as just eating it straight out of the bowl, and damn it! looks like I have to book another trip to Maryland. Everytime I go here, I wind up spending far too much because I insist on bringing a week's worth of leftovers home. Ah well, they don't go to waste.
