2016 Best Actress: Amy Adams's snub and Ruth Negga getting in instead. I don't think I posted it on this board at the time because it was when the Imdb boards were still around. 2019 Best Supporting Actress: Kathy Bates - documented here (though I was still predicting JLo to get in instead of Pugh) Those are the most recent ones I can think of. What are yours?

My memory is dogshit and I usually play it pretty safe with predictions, but DeepArcher can attest to the fact that I was one of, if not the first, to take Parasite winning BP seriously.

I called Mark Rylance as a winner a year in advance, when most people thought Alan fucking Alda would be the supporting player for that film.
I've stuck to my guns on a lot of predictions and they've paid off, but that one sticks in my head.
NOTE: I also called Negga and Mad Mel that year. Didn't think it would be at Adams's expense, though.

I think I had Huppert winning the Drama Globe for Elle in my Gold Derby predictions, though I'm not sure I'd call it a NGNG.

Green Book winning BP fairly early in the race.

Predicting Get Out would score BP nod upon release. Predicting Black Panther would score nod upon release.

I remember seeing some people claiming that Parasite winning Best Director was one of the most shocking wins ever and I was like???? To me it was very obvious since the beginning of January
