That's men or women opposite them ...........Usually for the men - it's the actors who've had the long, ~50+ year careers - DePac are ridiculously overwhelming here - I don't think any male can actually match them but if someone can .......... fire away or who's somewhat close anyway........but for females it's trickier I think since they don't often get to act opposite another great female and have to "settle" for only a great male co-star(s). Would like to hear of some who are particularly strong though here and mention Katherine Hepburn specifically who at ages 60-74 (!) interacted with O'Toole (and Hopkins), Scofield, Olivier, Henry Fonda and won an award (Oscar or Emmy) opposite everyone of them for those 4 roles which is a kind of ballsy and fearless move and achievement (@tyler)......... she probably has the deepest or one of the deepest resumes in this regard even outside of that late career run. Who are some others that are noticeably strong here for you?

Define "impressive." Are you talking about the person who's worked with the most heavy-hitters in general, or the person who's worked with those people who in turn gave their best work against or alongside them?

Well, this was a list of a lot of Denzel Washington's notable male co-stars from his birthday thread in 2019 (so that ignores Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson, Julia Roberts, Annette Benning, Viola Davis, Angela Basset, Melissa Leo, Angelina Jolie, the upcoming Frances McDormand, among notable actresses he worked with). Updated with his The Little Things co-stars.

One thing to keep in mind is if you can find an actor or actress who did a lot of ensemble pieces. That really jacks up their totals - Maggie Smith for one.... This is the list I did once for Pacino and De Niro's is like this too maybe more even = ~30 Oscar WINNERS - just nominees would be unreal - in both their cases with the DOR and Scott films upcoming they'd pad these numbers. The pros of being 80 I guess and working so much (oh shut up, how old do you think I am anyway) Marlon Brando, Meryl Streep, Robert De Niro, Jack Lemmon, Helen Mirren, Gene Hackman, Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, Jeremy Irons, Susan Sarandon, Christopher Walken, Holly Hunter, Jamie Foxx, Robin Williams, Sean Penn, Russell Crowe, Joe Pesci, Dustin Hoffman and Anthony Hopkins, Alan Arkin, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Hilary Swank, Christopher Plummer, Dianne Wiest, Kevin Spacey, Matthew McConaughey, George Clooney.

Another one in the DePac, Streep long career-OMG level of acting opposite heavy hitters - she will act opposite anyone, and if you aren't careful she will show you up and just did it recently in The Good Liar opposite Ian McKellen who's you know, kind of world class. Helen Mirren: - whole lot of Oscar winners, nominees, Olivier Award winners etc. : Gambon, Olivier, Hoskins, Hopkins, Plummer, Pacino, Irons, McKellen (on stage and screen), Nicholson, Walken, Caine, Kingsley.........I mean that's almost like an obstacle course of heavy acting male co-stars off the top of my head and she always holds her own with them ............at least, even if the films don't really work. Her reputation is kind of based on this too.....

Not only but Also the Commonwealth. It's easier for them. But Even when Streep Made several all cast films, that isn't her strengh. She prefere movies with 1 or 2 ir 3 leads She has no trouble in being leading, supporting or cameo. But ensamble movies, not Many. Si it's a kind of mira le she worked with si Many and different actors

In honor of his recent Golden Globe nomination for "The Undoing", maybe it’d be nice to bring up the Canadian icon Donald Sutherland who got his first Globe nom 50 years ago for “MASH”. For all those decades, he’s worked with everyone. He’s worked with so many icons, some of the GOATs, movie stars from different generations and countries, young and old stars, accomplished character actors, Oscar, Emmy or Tony winners, has been part of films with ensemble casts (“JFK”, “A Time to Kill”, “Cold Mountain”). Just to name a few: Marlon Brando, Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, Robert De Niro, Geoffrey Rush, Robert Duvall, Helen Mirren, Gerard Depardieu, Ben Kingsley, Dustin Hoffman, Susan Sarandon, Ralph Fiennes, Sissy Spacek, Michael Caine, Tommy Lee Jones, Julie Christie, Lee Marvin, Jane Fonda, Ellen Burstyn, Denzel Washington, Nicole Kidman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Mary Tyler Moore, Gene Wilder, Michael Gambon, Jon Voight, Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Jeff Goldblum, Stockard Channing, Michael Douglas, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Lawrence, Will Smith, Keira Knightley…. Now he’s hopefully will be in that James Gray film and may possibly share the scene with De Niro (again), Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway. Sutherland was also friends with Chris Plummer whom he shared the scene more than once. In fact, Donald was living and acting in UK in the 60s, an agent told him the buzz he has from “The Dirty Dozen” could lead to more roles if he moved to California. He had no money, his wife told him to ask from Plummer. He didn't want to do that at first but eventually called him. “I think I woke him up. I said, ‘Chris, it’s Donald Sutherland. I have a chance of having a career if I can get to California, but I don’t have any money.’ He said, ‘Do you have a pencil? Write down this name and phone number. Call him in the morning and there will be $1,500 for you.” And that was it. “Every time I think of that moment, it just makes me weep.”
