Way too high for Scarface, I don't even love the "classic" scenes, but those between them are dull as dishwater.

Scarface 1983~ Brian De Palma -
Didn't make my list personally ....but I love it too and the people that eventually turned this into a classic were dead right and confirmed the star and directors vision.
De Palma with multiple appearances fnck yeah......

I had Verdict at #11 and couldve been a few spots higher even. Flawless movie, really love the way it uses architecture and how controlled the visuals are (when they hold etc), and Mamet's script cant be praised enough - my fav line "It's a long road and there is no turning." There's also another line, after Newman is reminded of his bad court record he says "Things change." Same title as the later Mamet movie! On my recent rewatch I realized a whole thematic arc of faith in the movie I hadn't realized before and it made the movie feel even more remarkable in how quietly, no less strongly, it hits you.

The number of non-english language films on here can be counted on one hand and I don't see that changing much. And world cinema has truly given us some fantastic gems in the 80s. So, yeah, this list isn't very interesting so far.
