Sandra Bullock. I called SaBu until Ive seen her in Gravity. Now I have total respect as an actress.

Anya Taylor-Joy. Never placed my finger on why I couldn't stand her presence in anything before Last Night In Soho, but she strangled me with that performance. And the following sealed it...
Also, I don't care for the word "hate". I say that now, but I guarantee you I'll use it shortly...

I didn’t hate her, but I wasn’t that keen on Léa Seydoux in the early 2010s. However, she’s fast becoming one of the best actors working today. She’s just excellent in Crimes of the Future, One Fine Morning and especially France.

She's the best actress under 40 in the world I reckon with Haenel fighting dragons or whatever she's doing .....she can do comedy - and broad comedy too, all kinds of drama, work in all genres - even fring stuff - sci-fi, horror - period pieces or modern, lead or support........... I just wrote about her in The Last Great Performance You Saw thread.........she's one of the few actresses that is acting like she's the auteur of her roles not merely acting the part lately ........and in the last 10 years she's grown at an amazing pace.......

I saw a film she did in the late 2000s called the Beautiful Person where she plays this very shy, solemn character and so much has to be said just with her delicate face. I see her only getting bigger and better in the future.

I never liked Andrew Garfield's acting when he first broke out, and thought his performance was grating in The Social Network (I'm not conflating the character and the performance, I disliked his performance). But ever since Hacksaw, I think he's much improved. I thought he was excellent in Tick Tick Boom, and immediately thought he was getting nominated after watching it. So it's not so much I came around to him, he just got better.
