He may not be an A-list leading man but he’s working in great projects. He was just in FvF last year and his upcoming slate looks really great. Plus, he’s the new American Gigalo!

First was introduced to Jon Bernthal as Shane on The Walking Dead. Carved out a niche for himself as tough guys. Could be a Lee Marvin type..hope he's allowed to branch out to other types of roles. Don't know if he'll ever be an "A-Lister" like pupdurcs said..these days you need your own comic book franchise for that..they're not making the mid-budget dranas/action mainstream films much these days unless an established A-List veteran is attached. He could definitely excel in the Denzel/Neeson/Keanu action type roles. Him and Frank Grillo seem like they're in the same wheelhouse. Another scene I like from The Punisher is his conversation with Turk Barrett baby (played brilliantly by newly minted NYT 25 Greatest Actor Rob Morgan). I was always annoyed by season one of TWD because of his character.

Big fan. He would actually have been my pick for Frank Sheeran if The Irishman had been cast age-appropriately, against Stephen Graham's Hoffa.

You think some film critics are checking out MAR and its posts/threads? I know they use to do that on IMDB for sure.

You think some film critics are checking out MAR and its posts/threads? I know they use to do that on IMDB for sure. I'm sure they do. It's just another resource, same as Gold Derby and old IMDb. I doubt they partake in much of the discourse, but it's no different than any other forum for discussing cinema and awards.

This was definitely one of my first thoughts when I saw that specific Twitter hottake about Bernthal (did it come from this thread?). Sure, I can see some film critics lurking here and on other similar forums, to get "inspiration" for their content. As you said, they did it with IMDB.

Seitz is one of the film critics whose tweets I look at from time to time and when I saw that take..I thought Stephen and pupdurcs were just talking about Bernthal/The Irishman a few weeks back. If I see Spike Lee name his viagra musical Da Blu Magik, I'm going to be making a call to 40 Acres..lol
