Blanchett, I've yet to see a performance from Swinton that wows me. I'm not a fan of her as much as most people are. It also doesn't help that she's a collaborator of whom I've considered the most overrated director of all time, Wes Anderson.

La Blanchett . Nevr understood the fascination for Swinton. I know it's 2 and a half years late, but I'm glad I'm not the only one. She always plays these weird characters I'm not fond of.

I love them pretty much equally. Some days it’s Tilda and some days it’s Cate. They are just about equally talented and I can actually see the two of them play some of each other’s best roles very successfully. For example I think Tilda would do great as Bob Dylan or Lydia Tar, and Cate would be fantastic as Orlando or Karen Crowder.
I also think Cate is more “conventional” with her choices solely because she’s conventionally prettier, so she would be considered for roles in which the characters are supposed to be good-looking. Tilda is much edgier looking so she does edgier roles.

Well to me, it’s a combination of both writing and acting.
