. . . is it misunderstood "kino" and vulgar auterism or whatever like some internet users claim? I might be seeing it soon-ish.

I mean, I'm sure the avid fans of the games would get more enjoyment out of it (something that I am not), but even still, the job of a film is to tell a coherent story and to have that story be inhabited by well rounded characters...and this film does neither of those things. You would also expect a movie of this type to maybe even be fun at the very least, but nope, it's actually pretty dull.

It's not really bad, but it's just kinda there. It entertained me in the moment, but an hour after I left the theater I was struggling to remember anything about it.

Not as bad I thought it'd be. Duncan Jones did the best he could here (esp considering the subject matter) . I saw it in theaters high as a kite and somewhat enjoyed it tbh haha . Looking forward to Mute!

It's whatever. Not very interesting if you're not a fan of the game (I'm not, but I have some friends who are). The visuals are fine, decently thought-out and executed but not especially inspired or impressive. The characters are sorta just there and the narrative felt all over the place, but Duncan Jones is a talented enough director to still keep it mildly entertaining with the adventurous tone.

It's great. By far the best blockbuster of 2016 for me. I'm not a fan of the game by the way (mostly because it's an MMO, and I was never a fan of games of that type), but I'm a big fan of fantasy and I have read some of the Warcraft books. I'm also generally a sucker for these type of films, so I was probably musch easier impressed than many others.

I didn't like it, but I saw it with a friend who's obsessed with WoW and he loved it- so maybe it's made just for fans?

I enjoyed it. The visuals were stunning. They succeeded in making the orcs seem very lifelike and believable.

Visually impressive...and that's pretty much the best thing I could say about it. Weak story, dull characters (the only good ones get killed off), and just overall underwhelming.

Well, I would say that it's actually one of the better video game adaptations in existence today. Unfortunately, choosing the first game in the series as the source material probably worked against the film.

It's pretty good. It is one of the more confusing responses by critics to a movie. It's so simple, yet they called confusion the problem. I think they just went in hating it no matter what.
