With Denzel and Frances soon to be wrappingup Macbeth - what are some of the best "one-time" acting face-offs in film (or TV) history. Not best love stories but just acting that if they interacted again would run the risk of messing it up.
Daniel Day-Lewis and Marion Cotillard showed that they have immensely good chemistry and would probably do extremely well if they had a proper vehicle to showcase it. I still maintain Cotillard was transcendent and the Academy went for the wrong actress from that movie.
Grace Kelly and Cary Grant Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart K. Hepburn and both Grant/Stewart (does that even count?) D. Hoffman and Meryl Streep Nicholson and Dunaway
Bogart and Bergman are probably the most "iconic movie couple" to only do one movie together. I've met multiple people who thought they got married even though they really hated each other during the shoot.

I have thought before that they would have been great as Napoleon and Josephine instead of doing Nine in 09. DDL was a bit old but that doesn't really matter with him.
