Viced for another great poll. We'll always have our grievances with placements, but I think about half my ballot and most of my Top 10 made the list.

I always get to these so late for some reason (even though it was 9 a.m. when I logged on here!), but I'll list my thoughts here up to #26 as I don't want to make too giant of a comment lol:
Thanks for extending to 65 because I don't know what I'd do if Michelle Williams, Essie Davis, or Sakura Ando didn't make the list! Such a crime they aren't higher. Glad Keoghan, Min-sik, Rampling, and De Niro made the cut too. Especially surprised by De Niro as I felt he was far and away the MVP of The Irishman yet feel like it was Pesci and Pacino who received all the acclaim.
Also what the fuck is Army of One? Haha I've never even heard of it let alone knew there was so much love for the performance here. Honestly thought with that gif it was a joke at first. Also never heard of Dog Eat Dog either.
Shocked Oscar Isaac wasn't higher as well, feel like that's a performance everyone loves here (I really dig it, but the film needs a re-watch generally as I was pretty cold on it before). Chalamet's placement is great too. I liked him, but it was a performance that was far over-hyped for me. Everyone made him out to be the next big thing and it was just solid (aside from his final scene). I still don't see the love for Phantom Thread or DDL/Manville (if Krieps made the list I'd understand though because she was football stadiums ahead of everyone in that film).
Just re-watched The Fighter last night to see if Bale still held up as my Supporting win for 2010 and sadly felt like my love dissipated a bit. He's still great mind you, but glad he didn't place much higher than he did. Also re-watched Gone Girl recently and it didn't age as well for as I hoped, and the same goes for Pike's performance. She's still great, but not as AMAZING (heh heh) as she was for me back in 2014.
Also surprised Portman wasn't higher. A fantastic performance that still didn't even make my list, but I'm totally cool with it being considered best of the decade because it is. Same with Toni Collette.
Exciting to see Ralph Fiennes here since I think I unjustly brushed the performance aside back in 2014 because I loved all the supporting characters so much, but glad to be getting that Criterion blu soon to revisit the film and his performance again.
Wish my boy Eisenberg was higher. Re-watching The Social Network recently made me realize just how damn good of a performance it is and would likely make my all-time Actor line-up.
I really didn't like Fences, or especially Viola Davis' snot-filled performance in it, but Denzel Washington is an inspired choice here. I think it's some of the best work of his already outstanding career.
Genuinely shocked to see Bardem here for Biutiful as well. It's my favorite performance of his, but didn't know it had so much love.
Pretty shocked to see Emma Stone here as well (and above Weisz no less!). She was the MVP of the film for me far and away and probably my favorite performance of hers to date. Glad she made the cut.
Lastly, SHOCKED that J.K. Simmons didn't make the top ten at least. My love for his performance isn't as strong as it was back in 2014, but he's still damn good and would have at least been a worthy candidate for the top 25.

Great formatting, perfectly flowing presentation, and absolutely wonderful reviews from everyone that were a joy to read. Thank you so much Viced !!! Congrats on running the second best poll presentation of the year!! Oh shit, did I say second place? Sorry Glenn... Oh my It wasn't even me who did it this time.

GREAT PREZ Viced You the man. Leo & Joa are a fitting top two even as actors, neck and neck immense talents and proving it over the decade. (Gosling needs to take some pointers) Now it's coffee time.

Great presentation Viced. You did a helluva job with this! And, surprisingly, I think the overall results are great, much better than I was expecting, even if I'm a bit disappointed my favourite performance of the decade (and an all time great one) didn't make it.

Can't believe DiCaprio didn't even crack the top 100 for The Revenant..this board has really disregarded that performance over the years.

Great presentation! Thanks Viced and all the contributors. Less male dominated than I feared. Very happy that Binoche (best performance of the damn decade) managed to crack the top ten. A very inspired choice. Cage and Dafoe (DED) were shockers too.

Sad to see no Phoenix for Inherent Vice and the lack of supporting roles, especially female ones. But that aside it's an alright list. Alot of good lead performances.
And my thanks to viced, good job on the presentation. Looking forward to the next poll on this board.

Pretty stale on the ones I had seen from #25-#20, but cool to see Keaton here. I brushed him aside back in 2014, but having re-watched the film recently I finally realized what everyone else saw in his work there. Still think #19 is far too high, but he's still a blast to watch and I'm cool with him making the cut. So happy to see Krieps make the list as I figured she had no chance in hell with the her co-stars getting all the unearned praise (sorry, guys and gals). Shame DDL inevitably topped her here, but glad that it seems people are finally coming around to her work here. As DeepArcher said in his excellent review, calling her the "secret weapon" is super reductive. She stole the show for me. Feel like Dafoe and Pesci are too high and feel like the recency bias attacks again (not as bad as with Pacino though, as good as he is I think he won't be as well-remembered), but they both give such damn good performances and can see them being remembered as two of the best of the decade with time anyway so solid placements. Pretty shocked Sandler made it so high too. Probably too high, and wouldn't even make my top 100 performances for the decade, but it's just so refreshing to see Sandler get the acclaim he deserves. Great guy and great actor (when he wants to be of course). Gyllenhaal and Manville are fantastic inclusions and could have been even higher, especially Manville. Binoche is an incredibly inspired pick for the top ten. Very happy Affleck made the top ten as well! Personal feelings on Affleck aside, it's a damn good performance and would certainly make my all-time Lead Actor line-up. McDormand is just too high. She's got a couple good scenes, but I never understood the praise. Then again I wasn't big on the film either so maybe that has something to do with it. I didn't vote for PSH or Phoenix, and I'm pretty meh on The Master generally, but both are absolutely incredible performances and I'm totally cool with them making the top 5. Phoenix in particular feels like a very worthy #1. Very cool to see DiCaprio rise up to #2 though. That was totally unexpected (top 10 sure, but not top 2). It's my favorite performance from him (come to think of it I'm shocked his Django work didn't make the cut). I always dug his "tortured, brooding protagonists" as chris3 put it so well (knocked it out of the park again my dude), but was so enamored with his huge departure from that in Django and then he *perfected* it with Wolf of Wall Street. Crazy considering he didn't even make my list yet I still have that much praise for him. Good stuff. Shame Fassbender, Swinton, and Yeun couldn't make the cut. And of course Theron, who was my #1, being so low as 101! Just unfair! As always, great work with the reviews all around. These were some of my favorite write-ups: chris3 's review of Haenel in Portrait of a Lady on Fire and DiCaprio in Wolf of Wall Streetstephen 's review of Cotillard in The Immigrant and Gyllenhaal in NightcrawlerJavi 's review of Isaac in Inside Llewyn DavisDeepArcher 's review of Binoche in Certified Copy & Krieps in Phantom Threadthemoviesinner 's review of Lavant in Holy MotorsTommen_Saperstein 's review of Cotillard in Two Days, One NightViced 's review of Dern in NebraskaMattsby 's review of Min-sik in I Saw the Devilpacinoyes ' review of De Niro in The IrishmanJohnny_Hellzapoppin 's review of Manville in Another YearPerformances from my list that didn't make the cut (and their placements in my list): 01. Charlize Theron - Young Adult. 02. Matthias Schoenaerts - Bullhead. 04. Matthew McConaughey - Killer Joe. 05. Brie Larson - Short Term 12. 06. Kelvin Harrison Jr. - Waves. 07. Melanie Laurent - Beginners. 09. Carey Mulligan - Shame. 11. Michael Fassbender - Shame. 12. Olivia Cooke - Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. 13. Jason Segel - The End of the Tour. 16. Lupita Nyong'o - Us. 17. Lakeith Stanfield - Short Term 12. 18. Ryan Gosling - The Place Beyond the Pines. 19. Emma Booth - Hounds of Love. 20. Brendan Sexton III - Welcome to Happiness. 21. Carey Mulligan - Drive. 23. Krisha Fairchild - Krisha. 26. Ewan McGregor - Beginners. 27. Elena Anaya - The Skin I Live In. 28. Bruce Greenwood - Meek's Cutoff. 29. Ryan Gosling - Blue Valentine. 30. Rashida Jones - Celeste & Jesse Forever. 31. Noomi Rapace - Dead Man Down. 32. Corey Stoll - Midnight in Paris. So most of my list I guess... Viced was my ballot even counted? Great work though man! Only complaint is I wish I could have gotten to it earlier. It was nice scrolling through the comments and not seeing so many spiteful comments this time around too!

thanks for the great presentation Viced , even if I missed most of it. Excellent reviews everyone! Of course my list is different but I can't argue with most of the folks in the top 10 (Cotillard, Colman, Phoenix, DDL ). Not a bad lineup at all, gang

All the "she was better than DDL!!!" talk is complete hogwash but it's certainly a wonderful performance. Glad she made it. Manville is every bit as good as DDL but I agree Krieps is not quite on their level. Still three excellent performances, though. A very special movie.
