And here I was thinking she just sneaked in ... and she makes the top 10. Another inspired choice. Thank you MAR.

Damn good performance from Marion. I will always be on board for the love for it, even if the love for the film will always dumbfound me.

I'm calling it right now - #1 will be something by Finnish actress Krista Kosonen because this board loves flying the non-English speaking actors flag for some reason dammit! Kidding, kidding, love the Cotillard pick........ ![](//storage.proboards.com/6692321/images/yHeCVqhPqSpVijzOFxhO.gif)

I didn't turn in a ballot but Affleck would certainly be in the top 5 for me. A heartbreaking, pitch-perfect portrayal of grief.

#8 was a tour de force and it's aging extremely well. ![](https://media1.tenor.com/images/8e2e13d38bb71429e288c934897c94e5/tenor.gif?itemid=9490262)

That I thought Denzel would beat Affleck for the Oscar (told friends 100%, jeez) - and that I still thought Denzel would beat Affleck and place higher here. "I can't beat it" is right. ![(:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/ninja.png)

Amazing performance from McDormand and more or less the placement I would have predicted.

While my opinion on Three Billboards has sharply declined, McDormand's ferocious, deeply impassioned performance has only risen in my estimations. She wasn't in my top 10, but I certainly don't mind her having a spot in the forum's.

I'm still grappled with and in awe of the Fran perf, an all timer. I shied away from writing about the perf here and glad I did - that'd be like giving Brian Scalabrine the buzzer beater shot when Ray Allen's open in the corner - and pacinoyes 's writeup nails why the perf is so special.

Such a towering performance from Blanchett. Can't be praised enough. The best performance to get an Oscar from last decade.

Ya know, I agree with that comment about Blanchett directing herself... no way Woody directed a performance that good!...
Okay, sorry, I promise I'll stop...
