2019 was a mostly underwhelming year for film without a ton of depth. BUT the nomination pool for each category is very strong. Okay, a lot of stuff I haven't seen, but I can say that Original Screenplay is perfect and Cinematography is great as well. I like Score too but the I Lost My Body snub stings.

I like Score too but the I Lost My Body snub stings. definitely in the top-10, score is always the toughest for me to narrow down. I think it's because I can listen to them whenever and find things i like about them in different ways at different times.

edited the acting posts so there are fewer spoiler tags to navigate. Don't know how to get rid of the attachment in Supporting Actress post, but oh well there's a bit of a sneak peak and a little extra Alia Bhatt goodness.
This might very well be the first year ever in the Sharbs Awards history that no film has hit double digits in nominations. Little Women & Parasite lead the way with 9.
The Beach Bum is my favorite film (#25) to not be represented in any way in my nominations

Great job. I approve of that best original score winner especially. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World's music is so good.

Great job. I approve of that best original score winner especially. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World's music is so good. its absolutely amazing. It’s so varied and excels at each thing Powell goes for: The sweeping swoony trips in the air, the action/adventurey tracks, and of course it does well with the sorta silent era slapstick tracks as well. So lovely, second win of this series for Powell.

While there are some nominations and wins I would've chosen differently, its very hard to argue against the Portrait love, especially Sciamma. Great work

Fantastic choices! Your #1 and #2 for Best Picture match my ballot exactly. Let's hope we can get some Little Women and Portrait of a Lady on Fire love at the AMARAs. And thank you for reminding me to watch Piercing before voting! I love Mia Wasikowska.
