For the Stones.... Ruby Tuesday easily.
I like it way more when I was younger, but I do remember this song almost makes it seem like I really dig them when I can't bring myself to the level of passion some of the girls I talked to once a time ago do.

Gimme Shelter is their best rock song and Moonlight Mile is the best ballad. I'll vote for Gimme Shelter overall.

Obviously my fave UK band and in 68-72 they are Godhead in Rock history I play those 4 records the way I drink coffee - Gimme Shelter would normally win but not today..... Sympathy For The Devil wins and it's a critically important song - had anyone assumed a persona within a Rock song like that prior (?) .......maybe but not to that extent......it was a modern Blues not in the Blues form - which was their whole schtick and something their great rivals (Beatles/Dylan) couldn't top them at - incredible breadth and scope - and it uses the word politesse which is amazing just that they'd even write that word - but not as amazing as that they'd use the Kennedy name directly which was unheard of to do and Bobby had JUST died.......it had its pulse on a whole tone and lyrical vibe - it's an incredibly prescient song. One of the greatest vocals from the greatest frontman ever - and he has a lot (Sister Morphine etc.)....

Tough one as they are one of my favorites.
But I'll go with Wild Horses, which is a breathtakingly beautiful composition.
