Shut down to because of the virus - a great interview and some typically defiant POV on #metoo: "Huppert was in rehearsal for Ivo van Hove’s new production of Tennessee Williams’s The Glass Menagerie: the run was cut short after a week of performances, and a scheduled transfer to London’s Barbican in June remains in doubt."
I think actors are simply tired of being the headline - why not ask the producers who actually fund the films why more women aren't hired behind the scenes? Huppert is a fascinating interviewee, but you have to ask her interesting questions first.
Since The Glass Menagerie is delayed - her French theater piece - raves as Mary Queen of Scots in an 80 minute monologue (imagine the tour de force potential!) is scheduled for end of year in China now - has played Europe already maybe one day the US.
pacinoyes - Do you remember when this was supposed to be a film in the late 90s, with Huppert as Mary and Glenn Close as Elizabeth I? That project eventually became the Mary, Queen of Scots starring Ronan and Robbie (lol), but yeah, how awesome would that have been?
