Do y'all recommend The Russia House? I think it's kinda entertaining and well-made but only rate it like a 6/10. Connery/Pfeiffer are solid, but there's a whole forced romance that takes over the movie instead of hurtling towards something tragic which it should've , as it's in a way about how pathetically and eagerly the US/UK intelligence units still cling to the leftover Cold War paranoia.

Do y'all recommend The Russia House? I think it's kinda entertaining and well-made but only rate it like a 6/10. I'd agree with this - if you look at Sean Connery's career post-Oscar there is an insane bunching up of odd projects or projects that don't quite work - almost all of them read as a first screenplay draft - Presidio, Family Business, Rising Sun, Medicine Man, Russia House - it's kind of fascinating what came his way and.........should it have come his way (?) Pfeiffer is lovely in The Russia House ........that period for 1990 when she was in her early 30s she was impossibly lovely.......
