How does he fare within your awards?
Mine: 1957, Best Leading Actor: The Seventh Seal 1973, Best Supporting Actor: The Exorcist 1975, Best Suppoting Actor: The Three Days of the Condor 1987, Best Leading Actor: Pelle the Conqueror*** 2011, Best Supporting Actor: Extremely loud and incredibly close***
Not sure in 1987 between him and Mastroianni (Black Eyes) though. Would need to rewatch both films, but honestly their great performances were nearly the only two things I loved about either film.

sadly only twice, but my lineups only go back to 1960 for now.
1975: Best Supporting Actor, Three Days of the Condor (#4) 1987: Best Actor, Pelle the Conqueror (#2 behind Richard E. Grant)
He's close for Minority Report and I need to rewatch The Exorcist to get a handle on where I stand on that cast (they're all kind of in limbo). I tentatively nominate him for Seventh Seal (my current #2 behind Alec Guinness) but I've only seen eight films from that year. I assume he'll stay in the top five but can't say for sure.

I only have lineups going back 2007.
But he’s my Supporting Actor win for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close.

1957: Best Leading Actor, The Seventh Seal 1968: Best Leading Actor, Hour of The Wolf 1971: Best Actor, The Emigrants 1972: Best Actor, The New Land 1973: Best Supporting Actor, The Exorcist 1975: Best Suppoting Actor, The Three Days of the Condor 1987: Best Leading Actor, Pelle the Conqueror
He also came really close to my best supporting actor lineup for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (one of the better things about that film), in 2011.

Nominations for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close and The Seventh Seal.
One win for Pelle the Conqueror.
Huge HM to Citizen X (a TV Globe win maybe...), Three Days of the Condor, Needful Things, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

No wins yet. I haven't seen much of his competition from last century.
