Lucille Ball in Mame. Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl in Doubt Day Lewis in Nine (I still got nightmares) Di Caprio in J Edgar Kevin Spacey in Beyond the Sea.- Let's talk about how DiCaprio has had several instances of this. He's gotten roles that look like an actor's dream on paper. But ultimately, things don't end up working well. I'm sure we all won't agree on Howard Hughes though. I'm on the didn't work side. In his AND Blanchett favor none remembered Howard Hughes or young Kate Hepburn ay the Time. If Hepburn was still alive she would critized the movie. Despite all the press none of Hughes former Conquest seré invites, infact none appeared on the film. Justo they were , not even His only recognized wife Jean Peters who when the film was cut off in postproducción. She Ford in 2000. When Beatty remade the film Peters was Also cut off.

I used to like it a lot more, but the more I watch it (with the exception of a few scenes) the less I like it. Though I don't know whether to blame that on the actor, or the screenplay as written... Which I guess calls into question whether it's a great role... But it was once...

In the past few weeks I've read on MAR that walking sack of oatmeal with dentures "Robert Duvall" is a better actor than DePac (he most certainly is not / never was), "Meryl Streep" is a "ham" (if she is it's the fine imported outrageously expensive imported kind, bitches!) and this movie ^ gets WORSE the more you see it - when it's actually precisely the opposite. Sadly (um) I'm leaving the board (mostly........) after November 8th (sorta like semi-retirement!).............as I mentioned in another thread........and it's not a moment too soon tbh, you wackadoodles and your "taste" are seeping into my subconscious and turning me into something very plebby and unsexy by association!

I wasn't talking about the film, I'd agree it's the opposite! Just his performance. The first thing I don't understand and just blows my mind more every time (and again, this isn't his fault...) is the makeup! What's the deal? He aged so well compared to Shire and Keaton they had to make him look like an old man?
