Which of these two modern-TV titans do you prefer? Moss in Mad Men and Coon in The Leftovers are probably my two all-time favourite television performances, and they've given several fantastic performances in other projects as well.
I'll give the slight edge to Moss, who in fairness has had longer to establish herself and already broken into film and made a big impact. Coon has great potential to do the same though - very excited for The Nest later this year.

I haven't seen The Leftovers but I'll vote Coon, who's seemed very well-calibrated in whatever I've seen her in so far. Moss reverts to hamminess a bit too much for me.

I much prefer Carrie Coon. Moss, to me, has only been truly great once, in Mad Men, and even then I find that she's still overrated.

I guess I'm more interested in Moss's roles, but Moss in Handmaid's is like a double whammy. Agh, but I guess Coon in Fargo was incredible too. Theyre veery much even lol.

Coon is more moderated in her roles, but I do think Moss's tendency for hamminess suits the nature of her roles, like in Handmaid's, Top of the Lake, and the rare moments of MM.

Only familiar with some their film work and it's hands down Moss in that arena.

Going with Coon because I genuinely think her performance in The Leftovers is that revelatory and puts her that far ahead. It's a great comparison as Moss in Mad Men and Coon in The Leftovers are two of the very best television performances I think that I've ever seen, and they both followed those up with stellar performances in less-than-great series (or seasons) with The Handmaid's Tale and Fargo respectively, but to me Coon seems to have a lot more innate talent and has this intense watchability to her that I've never quite felt about Moss.
I think if I was basing this comparison solely on their film work I'd have to give it to Moss, but honestly I wish they both had better film careers, which is what they deserve. Especially Coon whom I'd love to see carve a place for herself in an indie niche in much the same way Moss has done. And this is surely wishful thinking but I'd love to see both of them enter Oscar conversation in the near future in much the same way many prestige TV actors have done in recent years.
