you read that right. In addition to keeping arbitrarily ranked lists of movies, I am now keeping arbitrarily ranked lists of TV shows too, so we're doing this! All jesting aside, I love a good lineup. I like seeing what others are watching and liking and I enjoy sharing my own, and there's always been a lack of that on the TV front. I remembered back from the IMDB days there would be an ICCs for TV and I was bummed that I could never participate because I never watched enough stuff. Well, I still haven't seen as much as I should have, and this announcement is a bit premature. But fuck it, I'm tired of waiting and this is my first time doing this so I'm giving myself some leeway. This time next year I will have seen more things, I'm sure of it. Brief housekeeping: I'm splitting everything into two fields of Comedy and Drama, and I'm lumping limited series with the rest of the shows in the interest of simplicity. I'm not the Emmys here... I haven't seen enough limited series to give them their own category. It looks like there's going to be a shit ton of miniseries in 2020 so maybe next year... And in the interest of transparency, here's the 28 programs we're working with and yes there are some major holes: Barry season 2 Chernobyl The Deuce season 3 The End of the Fucking World season 2 Euphoria season 1 Fleabag season 2 Fosse/Verdon Game of Thrones season 8 GLOW season 3 Good Omens Killing Eve season 2 The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 Mindhunter season 2 Mr. Robot season 4 On Becoming a God in Central Florida season 1 Pose season 2 The Righteous Gemstones season 1 Russian Doll season 1 Sex Education season 1 Silicon Valley season 6 Sneaky Pete season 3 Succession season 2 True Detective season 3 Unbelievable Veep season 7 Watchmen season 1 What We Do in the Shadows season 1 When They See Us
apologies to The Crown, Ramy, Schitt's Creek, The Witcher, Orange Is the New Black. Some of those are ongoing so I'll be able to catchup later but I kinda missed the boat on OItNB. Sorry about that. I wasn't watching much TV in the mid-2010s and I never pulled the trigger on this one. tl/dr: ignore that wall of text. Nominees will be announced shortly. The Tommen Awards are back, baby

The lack of nominations for Succession is quite frankly shameful.

STATS / Misc- Barry leads the pack with 4 wins, Mr. Robot received 2. - Barry and Mr. Robot were the only programs to receive multiple wins. - HBO demolished the competition, snagging 9 wins from 39 nominations across 16 categories. It's not just TV. - Prime Video and FX are the only networks other than HBO to receive multiple wins for more than one show, both receiving 2. as Ray would say: finally tv section ends, yawn So sit tight, because the movie awards are coming soon and I think they're going to subvert expectations
