Rooney Mara has always reminded me of Jean Simmons. Miles Teller reminds me a lot of Robert Mitchum.

Clooney as Clark Gable or Cary Grant is an obvious one. A pity he never got to do a classic screwball comedy (Leatherheads is not a classic ).

Brad Pitt in OUATIH looks exactly like Robert Redford in his youth I haven't seen the movie, but you mean that Brad Pitt in his mid 50s looks like a young Redford? 🤔

That movie star quality is lacking in many actors today. There are several terrific actors who can tackle lots of work and a lot of low key stuff that I can't see the old time stars pulling off (James Stewart and Jack Lemmon aside), but few who have that movie star charisma.
The exceptions to the rule are Saoirse Ronan, Saoirse Ronan, Saoirse Ronan, Saoirse Ronan and Saoirse Ronan.
(Really, though. Being serious here.)

For me there aren't many that remind me of "classic" era 40s/50s film stars but you have actors who evoke more recent stars: Bale evokes De Niro in body changes Denzel evokes Pacino in role types DiCaprio evokes Newman to me in star power/appeal Nicholson evoked Bogart in his singularity and uniqueness which was 25 years apart then as opposed to the year gap of a current actor and the truest classic era........

Rooney Mara has always reminded me of Falconetti. I wish some enterprising auteur (Lars?) would do a Passion of Joan of Arc "making-of" movie with her.
