Good for Romney showing some semblance of balls for the first time ever. The rest of them are a disgrace and I used to be a Republican and am still technically registered as one. Now cue on to Suge Knight force feeding Pelosi with the State of the union she tore apart So many people getting so upset about her tearing paper is peak conservative PC. The guilty votes is very in line with all of Romney’s past spineless behavior.

A Republican going against party lines in defiance of a militarized and frenzied GOP that will undoubtedly affect his immediate political career is spineless?

I do find it hard to believe he would have voted guilty if Trump could actually be removed and he would take more heat. But it's always easier to vote with your party than against except for sometimes when you're in a swing state, which he isn't.

I didn't watch it. So sure of a result of acquittal. Waste of taxpaper's money and my 63 cents per day.
It's like that mess with Clinton. Regardless of he's guilty or not, it's such a weaksauce/irrelevant case that it shouldn't have even been a case.
Book closed. Period.

Being adamantly against the guy then begging for a cabinet position and an endorsement for his senate campaign so he can weasel his way into office then voting to impeach the guy is spineless. Romney should never have even been in the position he is now in the first place but I guess that Trump’s fault for endorsing him.

Watched the video of Romney's statement in Congress and damn, if only he could have been the prosecutor. He succinctly took down each of the three pillars of Trump's defense one by one in the space of about four minutes and I've yet to hear anyone even attempt to refute anything he said other than to get mad and call him a traitor.

This wtf speech today in front of Republican congressmen and senators has been part victory lap, part high school pep rally (or worse), part Pelosi-Romney diss, part F-You, part stand up comedy routine - this has been an amazing week in politics or a whatever the polar opposite of amazing is.

It just goes to show you how chickenshit the Republican Party is. They were scared of impeachment, so they deemed the witnesses irrelevant.
They’re just as scared of Trump as they were back in 2015. None of them have the guts to isolate themselves.
