Talented writer of The Graduate, What's Up Doc? and Heaven Can Wait and of course a welcome comic presence in several films and TV - as himself often, as in this deftly dark comic scene from The Player.

Never seen his SNLs but he's really good in Taking Off ('71) - sort of naturally bothered and humorous, opposite Lynn Carlin. That pic is co-written by Milos Forman, John Guare and Jean-Claude Carriere... and I mean Buck Henry is right there probably adding his own spin on things; that's an interesting gaggle of talent!
The Graduate, To Die For, The Humbling.... '67, '95, '14.... that's some traveled time, and he's had a lot of sharp jots on romance, delusions, vanity....
