Waltz for Basterds, although his performance in Django was close.
Pitt is way back.

Waltz (Basterds) Pitt Waltz (Django)
One magnificent performance and two perfectly fine (lead) ones.

Yeah, for me it's also:
1. Hans Landa 2. Cliff Booth 3. King Schultz
One all-timer, one great performance, and one very good one.

Waltz in Basterds is on a completely different level than these other two. Just voted for that one.

The Nazi who could also speak Italian.
The German bounty hunter who became friends with a slave.

Waltz in Basterds was a misjudged cartoon and QT should have gone with casting Leo, but that character had the best dialogue of the three. Waltz in Django was a nothing, and his win is to this day baffling. Pitt was good in OUATIH as far as the minimalistic cool went, but I don't really see why he's sweeping here and couldn't even get a mention for IB. Or how Margot could conceivably be nommed for OUATIH and Laurent/Kruger weren't.

I actually really love all three of these. The two of these guys definitely know how to sell QT's brand of humor.

Love Pitt but his performance in OUATIH isn't in the same league.

I'll go with Waltz in Django, and combine the other two to come up with Pitt in Basterds.

Waltz in Basterds for sure.
Waltz in Django is pretty far behind himself, but still a league or two ahead of Pitt.

Cliff Booth and Dr. Schultz were both personally endearing for me, so I chuck the Nazi.
